Copious Quantities

The copious quantities of blog posting over the past several days continue…  I should probably set these to post sporadically throughout the week, but I’m an instant gratification kind of girl.

I received my Coaster Swap package today from Lori, and it’s absolutely perfect!

I’m definitely not shy in my love of all things Tula Pink, and Lori picked up on that and made me the bestest coasters ever!  Two of them will be going with me to work – I need a bit of fun on my desk!  She also included 3 FQs of Amy Butler fabrics (yay!) and a crocheted dishcloth.  Now, we all know that Steve is the Domestic Diva in my house, but the dishcloth is perfect for him – green is his favorite color!  Thanks bunches Lori!

Continuing the Tula Pink obsession, I’ve finally started the Crazymomquilt‘s Star Quiltalong.  Here are the blocks from weeks 1 & 2:

*sigh* So pretty!

And June is my month for Pieced Together.  I decided to do my own block with a pattern that is my own design (I think).  I’m calling it “9-patch Plus.”

Yep, it’s definitely a little wonky.  The skinny strips are finished @ 1″, the squares @ 2″…the little pieces created the wonky factor.

More posting to come later this week!

  • LOVE the 9-patch plus! Got your fabric in the mail a day or two ago, so guess I’d better get to work, huh? :)

  • Made up block or not, I love it!!! The coasters are also very cute!

  • Cute coasters and love your block! Got your fabric today. LOVE!

  • I love those star blocks! I have that quilt on my list, too. I am also on a big Neptune kick. Just finished a coin quilt and have started a bento box. Perhaps a few stars will join them!

  • Those coasters are so cute!

I need to try making some triangle blocks…I always love the finished project, but am afraid of too many triangles
