I’m finally getting around to trying to figure out the sashing for the baby’s quilt. I’m using Elizabeth’s New Wave pattern, with scrappy tumblers in gray & yellow. I decided I did want to sash the rows, in order to bring some cohesiveness into the quilt. My opinionated hubby vetoed the idea of using a gray or yellow as the sashing, saying the quilt needs a little something extra.
So what do you like best?
From top to bottom:
- Herringbone in pond (will require some fussy cutting so that the pattern remains somewhat consistent)
- Green/teal grunge
- Orange crossweave
- Aqua/teal line clusters
Please opine!
I also whipped up a quick little coaster to put in the nursery. Steve keeps setting glasses of ice water directly on the furniture in there while he’s working, and it’s driving me crazy that there’s not a coaster. Plus, I know I’ll need to drink lots of water to facilitate breastfeeding, so a coaster is necessary:

For the record, I keep setting my glass on the melamine furniture (no chance of water damage).
