Apparently, I have blogged this before.
And so, here is my repeated confession:
My name is Michelle and I’m one of those geeks who are fascinated with baby names and name trends. And have been for a long time. And I’ve had the baby name discussion with Steve many a time, even though we have not been trying to have a baby to name.
The Baby Name Wizard blog is one of my favorites. I found today’s post particularly interesting.
Apparently, Michelle Paige is not a controversial name. Most people can’t find fault with either of those names.
Kudos to my parents!
I’m a conflict avoider by nature (despite contrary evidence on this blog) – my name just cements that fact, lol!
I love discussing names and have had tons of conversations with friends having kids (or not) about names. I’m on the other end of the spectrum from you, with a name that most people just get confused by. It was terrible in middle school but I love it now.
Glad to see my name isn’t divisive either. I have always been fascinated by names and why/how people choose the names for their kids. Just the other day I was reading Dwell magazine and it highlighted a playroom for a kid named…..wait for it….Banjo. What the? Seriously, that kid is going to be a middle-aged man someday and what was once a slightly cute and quirky name will be a massive joke. {Unless he ends up in a hippie commune.} I’m ranting. I’ll stop.
