A Haiku
Sew Mama Sew is doing a haiku contest on twitter (a Twaiku, if you please)…so here is mine:
Wish I had more time
Handmade holidays 09
Not gonna happen
Sounds a little depressing, but there are currently more important matters at hand. Steve started his day off bright & early this morning, meeting the contractor @ 7am to start scraping ceilings and installing lighting.
Goals this weekend include scraping off wallpaper in the kitchen and 1/2 bath, and painting a bunch of stuff.
Fun times, indeed…
Margaret sent me back my 2 quilts for Christmas gifts – everything looks great! She practiced on her own County Fair panels to give me a sense of the quilting – I liked the wavy lines. Not sure when I’ll find time to bind… And I was kinda hoping to make tote bags to put them in for each recipient. December, maybe?
My MIL has requested that I make pillow covers to coordinate with this quilt I gave her last Christmas (BTW – notice the “WAS $100″ in the listing? I didn’t pay that much, hehehe). So I have ordered some fabric, hopefully it will work. But if anyone can identify the fabrics in this quilt, that would be helpful, in case what I ordered doesn’t seem like it will work…
So that will probably be the extent of my handmade holidays. Bummer dude

Great haiku! I’m going to send a quilt to Margaret. I can’t wait to see the work she did for you.
