Steve and I have been pretty busy the past couple of weeks…like cutting out of work early to take care of a bunch of things. Because we’re in escrow. It took 5 counter offers to get there (I’m not exaggerating!). Inspection is done, now we’re negotiating repairs.
We are far from a done deal, but something is actually happening!
Like making plans…
And we have a lot more work ahead of us…
Bye bye, ugly 30-year old worn carpet. Bye bye mirrored wall. Bye bye ugly light fixture in a weird location.
Bye bye ugly old carpet. Bye bye ugly stairs, eventually, you will be closed in so I have a very nice hideaway for the litter box. Until then, the litter box won’t be so hidden, but you will have new carpet. Bye bye railing that has space big enough for future children to get their heads stuck in.
And bye bye horrendous amounts of “stuff” that accumulate with owners living there for 32 years (original owners), including daughter & grand-daughter. And bye bye carpet… all carpet goes… Bye bye dirty white walls – you will be replaced with color, even if that color is cream. Bye bye popcorn ceilings. Bye bye kitchen counter tops. Bye bye wallpaper. Bye bye original bathroom lineoleum. Bye bye carpet in the half bath.
Hello, home ownership! Hello, financially poor Foxes!

Looks like the house has great bones. It’s amazing what a little cosmetic work can do to spruce up a place.
Have fun making it your own!
Congratulations! You will have so much fun making it yours. And hopefully we all get to see the before and after photos! Good luck!
What??? Bye bye mirrored wall? Surely you’re joking. Those mirrored squares are the height of fashion.
Be sure to show us befores and afters.
Mirrored wall…at least it isn’t a mirrored ceiling!! I’m kind of digging the staircase, but I can understand wanting under-the-stair storage…
Congratulations on being poor!
There’s an idea – you could move the mirror tiles to the ceiling!
