After the trip to Seattle, the guilt overcame me & I got caught up on my bee blocks thru August.
For PTQB, Katie sent vintage sheets, a solid, and the Amy Butler rose buds, requesting blocks similar to Oh Frannson!’s Mod Sample Quiltalong.
Also PTQB, Jody requested Drunk Love blocks to be made [...]
I think I can keep sewing… 2 things down off my immediate to do list…
First, I finished my mini-quilt for the Modify Tradition Swap.
And in true “Michelle’s a Ding Dong” fashion, I’m pretty sure I wrote “Modern Tradition Swap” on the back for a label. D’OH!
But since I can’t seem [...]
Jacquie (yes, that Jacquie) just posted the blocks she made for me for my month of PTQB. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

I played catch-up on my PTQB blocks this past weekend… I was most horribly tardy on Sandy’s block for March – the dreaded cathedral window:
Ultimate verdict – one block wasn’t so bad to make…but I would never do an entire quilt this way.
Colleen requested some simple half-square triangles for April:

When the call went out to the 3×6 Bee participants for angel blocks for people who had partners who flaked, I knew that I had to make a contribution. Gotta keep the karma going, since I received an angel quilt for the Doll Quilt Swap!
I’m not entirely sure why, but I’m definitely [...]
Thanks to Beth & Rebekah for the suggestion of using my pink & orange fabrics for a string quilt. While I like the idea, I’m not going with that plan (haha)…but I think I’m going to use the premise of one unifying element/fabric coupled with scrappy to *hopefully* achieve the same type of cohesiveness [...]
So my month for PTQB is coming up in May, and I have a giant pile of pink & orange fabrics I’m planning to send out. The problem is that I think I have too many fabrics:
13 Flea Market Fancy prints (all at least a FQ) 8 Hope Valley prints (Fiesta colorway – [...]
So you know how I’ve mentioned I’m in this VQB that is run thru Facebook, and this group of ladies definitely has a different taste in fabric than I do?
Well, I already have my fabric packet for May, with the request of making small Dresden plates, which is no problem (I’m excited to [...]
Time for a VQB update – the 3×6 Bee Q1 went extremely well. I put in a request for black/gray/white blocks to be used in a small wall hanging for my poor blank wall in my living room. My group was more than sufficiently up to task, and these are the blocks I received [...]
It’s funny how fabric can inspire you as a sewist/quilter/junkie/whatever you want to call yourself.
I’ve been thinking about this the past couple of days, after I posted the block I made for Valerie for PTQB to Flickr:
Valerie‘s inspiration was this quilt and she sent out some Heather Ross Mendocino in the [...]
