I’ve started a new project, one with a looming deadline. Needless to say, my rotary cutter got quite the workout today (baby has a cold, which means lots of naps). If anyone has 2.5″ purple squares, I’d be interested in trading some other squares in exchange… I’m also trolling for 1.5″ pink and [...] I now know where the glitter is at Joann. *big grin* I feel like I’ve been on a bit of a Tula Pink bender lately – fabric and pattern. So I think these are my last Tula projects for a bit – but she is a tempting mistress, so I know I’ll be back (besides, I still have a Neptune quilt top to finish up, [...] The little miss is becoming a bit more demanding of my attention during the day (aka, she’s actually staying awake – sometimes because she has some awful gassiness going on), so I haven’t been doing much sewing the past couple of weeks unless Steve is around to give me a break. She likes the [...] I’m finally getting around to trying to figure out the sashing for the baby’s quilt. I’m using Elizabeth’s New Wave pattern, with scrappy tumblers in gray & yellow. I decided I did want to sash the rows, in order to bring some cohesiveness into the quilt. My opinionated hubby vetoed the idea of using [...] I’m nearly done with bees and swaps before my self-imposed hiatus that will end no sooner than October 1st. My goal is to focus on finishing some of my started projects, and add in some sewing for baby Kit. Some items on Kit’s list: A quilt or two. DUH! How could I not?? Even [...] I know…3 posts in one day?? Apparently that’s how I roll… virtually silent for 3 weeks, then I post-bomb you. So the weekend before the 4th, I went to Momen+, mostly because I wanted to check out the new Far Far Away III fabric in person. Well, I did walk away with about $30 [...] I’ve had the pattern pieces cut & fused for the Amy Butler Birdie Sling for 2 years now… 2 YEARS! Thank heavens for the search bar on my blog, so I can be sure to be embarrassed by that fact. I’ve been wanting to tote around a new (and not quite as huge as [...] That’s the number of pieces in the Flutterby quilt top. I really wish I had used a dedicated spool of thread so I knew how much is in this 92” behemoth of a quilt. Mental note for next time, I guess.
